 Jungle Orchid

An Urban Therapy Farm

We grow fresh food through hydroponics and in-ground farming while inviting veterans to find solace, structure, and peace through hands-on work with the land.

OUR MISSION

Growing Healing, One Seed at a Time

Jungle Orchid exists to support veterans and the community through therapeutic farming, food production, and connection to nature.

By combining structured hydroponic systems with traditional soil-based growing, we create a calm, welcoming environment where individuals can slow down, reconnect, and heal through purposeful work.

WHAT WE DO

Four Pillars of Healing

Therapy Through Farming

We invite veterans to participate in low-pressure, hands-on farm activities designed to promote calm, routine, and connection. Farming becomes a form of therapy — grounding, repeatable, and meaningful.

Hydroponic Food Production

Using hydroponic systems, we grow leafy greens and herbs efficiently and sustainably. These systems provide predictable success, fast growth cycles, and accessible learning opportunities for all experience levels.

In-Ground Growing

Our soil beds offer a slower, seasonal rhythm. Composting, mulching, and caring for perennial plants teach patience, resilience, and stewardship of the land.

Community Care

Harvested food is shared with the community, reinforcing the idea that healing and nourishment grow best when shared.
